How to Have Better Disagreements

Wednesday, March 19, 2025
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Business and Community Center

Do you wonder how to navigate difficult conversations better? Does conflict sound scary and to be avoided at all costs? Or, do you charge in, only to regret your words later?

Conflict is a normal part of human life. We all have different opinions about many topics, and that’s okay. Learning how to talk about disagreements, understand others’ points of view, and talk through differences is possible. You don’t have to convince everyone you are right, but you might learn how to disagree better.

Coach and mediator Una McGeough leads this workshop, in which you can learn to build shared understanding even when you can’t reach agreement. You will gain insight into your own conflict “style,” what happens in our bodies during conflict, and skills you can use to understand others better and maybe even bridge some gaps.

Una McGeough is a certified mediator with the Center for Conflict Resolution, an associate certified coach (via the International Coaching Federation), and a Designing Your Life certified coach.

Registration begins March 1.
