Teen Mental Health First Aid

Learn how to understand, recognize, and respond to a friend, fellow classmate, or sibling who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.

Get the tools you need to recognize mental health challenges, listen, and lead tough conversations, as well as how and when to refer someone to appropriate professional help. Teens will receive service hours for participation and a certificate of completion that will stand out on college application and job resumes. Snacks will be provided.

The workshop will be led by Heather Kendall and Brianna Hoekstra from NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Cook County North Suburban.

For ages 15 – 18. Registration is required.
