Improvisational Quilting

Wednesday, July 31, 2024
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Radmacher Room

This workshop is great for those who have been too intimidated to start quilting or experienced quilters wanting to break out of their comfort zone with the liberatory practice of improvisation.

Inspired by the classic patterns Log Cabin and Courthouse Steps, we will work quickly by tearing up fabric and sewing together patchworks composed of rectangles and squares. With a bright and varied palette of fabrics, each participant will make creative choices on color and scale to end the class with a truly unique piece of patchwork.

All materials provided, no experience necessary, we will be using sewing machines, irons, and rotary cutters.
