This month we're discussing Sayaka Murata's 2016 English-language debut, the story of a woman's unlikely friendship.
To the disappointment of her family, a Japanese woman has been working at a convenience store for 18 years. She finds friendship with an alienated, cynical, and bitter young man who becomes her coworker.
This discussion is in collaboration with Morton Grove Public Library.
