Family Book Club: Stella Diaz Has Something to Say

In this book discussion for second and third graders and an accompanying grown-up, we'll discuss this month's book and create a craft together.

Author Angela Dominguez writes the story of Stella Diaz. Stella wants to be friends with the new boy in class, but sometimes she accidentally speaks Spanish instead of English and pronounces words wrong, which makes her turn roja. She also needs to get over her fear of speaking in front of the class.

Sign up for the discussion, then pick up a copy of the book at the Youth Services Desk. Please register the child attending only, although an adult must attend as well.
